Content created by and for working class people, #BritainHasClass aims to give working class voices a platform and bring class inequality to the forefront of British debate. Hosting different writers each week to talk about the culture, challenges and intersections behind working class life in Britain, #BritainHasClass was created to take back the class conversation through a series of essays, videos, poems and more.

To get involved in the conversation search for #BritainHasClass on social media, or find our archives here. To submit your own piece or find out more, email hashtag@britainhasclass.org.

the class officer campaign

The Working Class Officer campaign is at the heart of our organisation, with our founders meeting through the movement to create a Class Officer at the London School of Economics. Aiming to follow the examples set by LGBT+, women's, BME and other liberation officers, we believe that the presence of Working Class Officers in Britain's schools, unions, parties and other organisations will be vital in both driving the class conversation forward and pushing for real change in the lives of working class people in Britain.

Information our past successes and current campaigns can be found on our Officer Campaign Blog. To get involved, find out more or get help with your own campaign for an officer, please email officers@britainhasclass.org

The great british class conference

Spring 2018 will see the first Great British Class Conference, an annual event to bring together working class activists to swap ideas, stories and experience. The details are still being worked out (and we're keeping a few surprises for the big day itself), but expect an event overflowing with talks, panels, debates, screenings and more. Watch this space for updates, and to find out more email us at conference@britainhasclass.org.

Our first research project, An Epidemic of Silence: How British Culture is Killing Working Class Men is an exploration of the cultural, financial and political pressures that make working class men Britain's most at-risk group for suicide. To find out more or to get involved, email chris@britainhasclass.org.
